Emma's Field Day

Yesterday, I was able to participate in Emma's Filed Day at school. The kids had a blast going to all of the different stations. Her class is very sweet and worked very well together.

A little catch up...

Yesterday was John's birthday and we all went out to celebrate in Boston at one of our favorite restaurants- Douza. The kids ate so much.....3 appetizers of gyoza, edammame, 2 seaweed salads and sushi. No one had dessert!! The cards that they made for John were just darling...forgot to take pictures. Then we came home and played basketball and rode bikes.

Henry's Cub Scout Den came over for an end of the school year party. So much fun.

Omi and Grandpa visit......

This past weekend we had visitors- Omi and Grandpa. We had a wonderful time together even though the weather was terrible. They were able to see Henry's last soccer and baseball games. We also were able to watch two games from the World Cup....go USA and Germany.

Henry's Flag Day and Class Picnic

As we continue to wind down, Henry had two events today at school. The first was Flag Day where every class sang about the American Flag. Then we came back for lunch on the Common. Henry had so much fun playing with all of his friends. It was so nice to see him playing on the Common like he tells us he plays at recess- chasing the girls, giggling and rolling all of the grass.

Emma's final report was on the bald eagle. We went in last night to her classroom to see everyone's reports. It was a great night and I was very impressed by all of the hard work the children did on these reports. Amazing jobs.

Did you hear me scream....he surely did!!

Yesterday was a bad day all around. I still can't hear out of my right ear. I met with the doctor and he told me that I have a raging ear infection and have been put on two antibiotics but I still can't hear. I might be going to the ENT specialist tomorrow if things don't improve.

What made things even worse was I was erecting our umbrella and this little fella fell on my head then hit my shoulder before falling to the ground. Once it was on the ground I screamed bloody murder. What the @$@%#!

A weekend filled with Spring sports and crazy weather

This weekend was so much fun between the sports, CRAZY weather and my ear. Henry 's games on Saturday were so much fun to watch in the 80 degree heat with 99% humidity. I was sweating just watching the games. He loved playing catcher for his baseball team but really was fabulous playing short stop. Emma had an all day tournament with her club soccer team in Amherst, MA. There was a tornado watch in effect for most of the day. We had clouds, sun and downpours over the 12 hour day. Needless to say were we happy to be home.

I have a clogged ear and have been struggling with it all weekend. I go to the doctor later this morning. I am so frustrated!!!

A taste of summer.....

Everything is in bloom and the yard looks amazing- thanks to JOHN!!! He has a green thumb and makes everything look so beautiful around our property. I just love when all of the herbs come in and I can start using them when I cook. Fresh herbs really enhance any dish!!

Playdates for everyone.....

Memorial Day weekend was a blast. The weather was to die for ...nice temperatures and no humidity. The Everins came over on Memorial Day for a BBQ and swimming. Everyone had a blast- even the dogs.
