Our Cousins come to visit...Chapter 2

My sister and her children arrived a few weeks ago from Colorado. We had a quick visit with them in Stockbridge, MA. Lunch at the Red Lion Inn was incredible!

Our Cousins come to visit...Chapter 1

John's sister (Laura) and her boys came for a visit a few weeks ago (I am so behind on posts that it is overwhelming). We had such a wonderful time with them over the week. There was lots of swimming, eating, shopping, laughing, and a fun day at Kimball Farm. It was so hot that day I thought we were all going to melt as the kids played a round of miniature golf.

We shopped that Nordstrom Semi- Annual sale like nobody's business.

So much fun- mini-golf, bumper boats, lunch, driving range, arcade and to top it all off...the BEST ice cream in the world!

Can't wait to see you guys next year!

The Cape with the Bachs

We were so lucky to have the opportunity to see our cousins again this summer down on the Cape. The day was beautiful and I must say that I have a new appreciation for a "day at the beach." Usually, I dislike like going to the beach even under perfect conditions. I HATE sand. However- I really had a great time catching up with my sister-in-law and seeing the kids all having a great time together. We ended up eating at the snack bar at the beach- hot dogs, fries and ice cream the prefect summer lunch.

Emma showing off her heart rocks after going swimming in the ocean. I was in complete amazement of her just running into the ocean and swimming freely. I feel like it was just yesterday that I would be watching her every move in the ocean- she is growing up!!

Hagan-he is such a little model. I bring out my camera and he just poses even with sunscreen in his hair.

Our drive back took over three hours but is was worth every minute being able to spend time with our family.

What a great week....

Max had his very own cooking show and he was even able to sample the meal after it was made!

Kimball Farm....Sundaes, Mini-golf, bumper boats and the arcade

We all hopped in the car to make the drive to Kimball Farm....one of our favorite summer time places to visit. We were thrilled that we were able to share it with our cousins. We played a round of mini-golf and Emma was the winner with everyone following very closely behind. Before we played mini-golf everyone had ice cream with hot fudge or a rootbeer float (Jurgen). I missed getting a photo of the sundaes because I was too carried away eating my own!

The kids all loved the bumper boats. Tristan decided to ride with Emma which she just loved!

We also made a stop at the arcade where Jurgen and Tristan won these funky glasses. Everyone enjoyed trying them on...even little Hagan.

This summer has been the best!!!

Our cousins are coming....

Emma and Henry are so excited for their cousins to arrive today. They have been counting the days down until their arrival for our "staycation." So many fun things planned and the weather is suppose to be magnificent.

2 more hours and counting.........

Smores....Harper's first time!

It was so much fun watching Harper eat her first smore......she enjoyed every last crumb. Her little hands were shaking up in down showing how excited she was to take her first bite. I love smores and they are such a wonderful part of our summers!!!

Full Glitz.....too many viewings of Toddlers and Tiaras

Henry and Emma took Harper from au naturale to full glitz over the course of the morning. She was a trooper.
